       Asahi Kasei-Honda joint venture breaks ground on

       lithium-ion battery separator plant in Canada


          Asahi Kasei Battery Separator Cor-
       poration, the Canadian joint venture of
       Japanese  chemicals  firm, Asahi  Kasei

       has broken ground on its new lithium-
       ion battery separator manufacturing
