expand its leadership in Paper processing and

Water Treatment segments signals a strategic leap!”

In a significant development that positions SNF India as a
leader in the speciality PAM based polymers industry, the
company has unveiled an ambitious capacity expansion
project which will consolidate SNF’s leadership in Paper
Processing and Water Treatment Polymer segments. This
strategic growth move set to double the production capacity
at SNF India’s Visakhapatnam facility, with the addition of
a new state-of-the-art manufacturing plant and Application
labs. SNF has committed a substantial investment of ap-
proximately ₹~500 crore for this expansion, to increase the
plant’s production capacity to an impressive 300,000 tonnes of speciality polymers annually.

This investment underscores SNF India’s commitment to innova-
tion, sustainability, and India’s industrial growth. Mr Kumaresan
Rajendran, Chairman and Managing Director, emphasized the
company’s vision to meet the evolving needs of Indian custom-
ers while driving high-quality polymer production. The project is
expected to be operational by 2026, with all necessary legal and
financial approvals already secured.

“A Focus on Key Products for the Paper Industry”

This expansion will provide a complete range of chemicals
used for paper manufacturing –AKD emulsions for Sizing,
RDA, Defoamers, Strength (GPAM & PVAM) for P&W /
Tissue / Packaging sector, Tissue coating and many new
variants of Water Treatment polymers like Polyamines.
These products play a crucial role in enhancing the quality
and performance of paper, making them indispensable for
modern day paper production.

The focus on these specific products is a testament to SNF
India’s commitment to providing solutions that align with
the evolving needs of the Indian paper industry. With this
expansion, SNF India aims to not only meet the growing demand for these products but also improve the
operational efficiency of paper manufacturers across the country.
