       Avantor boosts biopharma research capabilities

with new innovation centre in US

          Avantor, a US-based pharma,
       biotech and chemicals firm, recently
       opened its new flagship Bridgewater
Innovation Centre in the US. The re-
       search and development facility, located
in Bridgewater, New Jersey, is part of
Avantor’s network of 13 research and
       innovation centres across the globe.

          Avantor’s new spans 60,000 square
       feet, doubling its previous laboratory
       and pilot plant capacity. Purpose-
       designed for collaborative work, the
centre houses spaces for upstream and
       downstream process development, dedi-
cated analytical testing labs, and a viral
       vector laboratory. An expanded pilot
plant supports scale-up simulations, capabilities to support the growing de- staffed with Ph.D. scientists, bioengi-
