Gulbrandsen raising PE wax capacity; plans new

functional polymer facility at Dahej

Gulbrandsen, a US-based maker
of speciality polyethylene (PE) waxes
and polymers, has announced plans to
build additional PE wax manufacturing
capacity and a new functional polymers
plant at its site in Dahej, Gujarat.
“Expected to be operational by
mid-2026, this expansion will help
Gulbrandsen increase its speciality
polymers and wax production to meet
growing global demand,” the company
informed in a press note.

Thyssenkrupp Uhde bags contract for GNFC’s third

nitric acid plant

Thyssenkrupp Uhde, a Germany-
based chemical technology solution
provider, has been awarded a contract
by Gujarat Narmada Valley Fertili
zers & Chemicals Ltd. (GNFC) for
the construction of a Weak Nitric Acid
(WNA-III) plant in Bharuch, Gujarat.

The scope of work includes license,
basic engineering, detailed engi-
neering, procurement, construction,
commissioning, and start-up services.
Based on Thyssenkrupp Uhde techno-
logy, the design puts a focus on opera-
tional effi ciency, safety, and sustain-
ability.
