Mumbai-based makers of pigments, dyes and food colours, Vipul Organics Ltd. has signed an exclusive distribution agreement with Switzerland-based Omya Group, giving the global minerals company sole rights to market and distribute Vipul’s pigment products across most of Europe effective from June 2026.

Under the agreement, Omya will distribute Vipul’s SunTone and SunCoat pigment dispersions and powders across Europe, including the United Kingdom, Norway, and several Balkan countries — Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Albania, and Moldova. Switzerland and Poland are excluded from the arrangement.

The SunTone range serves paint, ink, plastics, textile, rubber, and automotive coatings industries, while the SunCoat line targets interior and exterior decorative coatings, paper coatings, detergents, and shoe polish, among other applications.

Vipul Organics, which operates three production facilities and exports to over 50 countries, said the tie-up would give European customers local technical support alongside access to its pigment portfolio.

The company noted that the pairing of organic pigments with Omya’s calcium carbonate products offers formulators complementary performance benefits across plastics, coatings, inks, and construction materials.

Mr. Vipul P. Shah, Managing Director, Vipul Organics, described the Omya partnership as “a key driver in enhancing our international presence and accelerating our growth trajectory over the next five years”.

Omya, founded in 1884, operates across 160 manufacturing sites in 50 countries with a distribution network of more than 170 locations, supported by regional warehouses and laboratories across Europe. Vipul Organics operates three production facilities in India and exports to over 50 countries.
