Milliken & Company has expanded its innovation footprint in India with the inauguration of a state‑of‑the‑art polymer solutions pilot plant in Pune, strengthening its ability to accelerate development and scale‑up of advanced material technologies for global markets.
The new facility supports end‑to‑end processing across powder, dough/paste, and liquid systems, enabling Milliken to simulate real‑world manufacturing conditions and shorten the path from concept to commercialisation.
“By bringing advanced processing and testing capabilities together in one location, we can accelerate development timelines,” said Mr. Joseph Varghese, VP Operations & Country Manager, Milliken India.
Equipped with advanced pilot‑scale machinery, the plant offers flexible capabilities including mixing, extrusion, granulation, drying, milling, and controlled liquid blending. High‑grade contact materials and integrated safety systems ensure consistency, efficiency, and safe operation across all activities.
The facility allows Milliken to replicate diverse production environments, validate processes under varying conditions, and explore a wide range of applications – from consumer‑packaged goods to adjacent specialty segments. By enabling scalable and reliable formulation development, the investment enhances Milliken’s ability to respond quickly to evolving customer needs and support faster scale‑up cycles.
